Dreams and Goals In 1990 Alistair Berg set off to document the fans who journeyed to the World Cup finals in Italy. He has taken his camera to all of the four subsequent finals and to many other matches along the way. In those twenty years football has achieved global notoriety like no other sport and the World Cup has become the most successful single cultural event on the planet. He is now ready to edit and publish this work in time for the next World Cup, South Africa 2010, which will mark twenty years of the project. There are also plans to stage outdoor exhibitions of the work in the host cities during the finals.
